Illinois International Business Calendar
As a public service, the ITA/GC publishes a listing of international business events. The calendar is distributed to over 5,000 ITA/GC members and non-members. The Calendar is a collaborative effort among the International Trade Association of Greater Chicago (ITA/GC), the Illinois Trade Office (ITO) of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO), and the Illinois District Export Council (IDEC) on behalf of The U.S. Export Assistance Center/Chicago (USEAC). Mar. 26 TRADE MISSION TO CENTRAL AMERICA
Mission (March 26-31), organized by the U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration, is open to U.S. companies from a cross section of industries with growing potential in Central America, but is focused on U.S. companies representing best prospects sectors such as construction equipment/road building machinery, renewable energy, automotive parts and accessories, and safety and security equipment. Mission participants will attend the opening reception for the Trade Americas – Business Opportunities in Central America Conference, and the Conference on March 27. Following the morning session, trade mission participants will participate in one-on-one consultations with U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service (US&FCS) Commercial Officers and/or Department of State Economic/Commercial Officers from the following U.S. Embassies in the region: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Belize, Nicaragua, and Panama. Mar. 27 BRACE FOR IMPACT – CHALLENGES IN IMPORTING AND EXPORTING IN CHINA

Mar. 27 TRANSPORTATION TECHNOLOGIES, EQUIPMENT AND SYSTEMS TRADE MISSION (TURKEY)
Organized by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Commercial Service in Turkey, this mission (March 27-31) is intended to include representatives from a variety of U.S. transportation industry hi-tech equipment, systems and technology suppliers and service providers. The mission will introduce these suppliers to Turkish business partners, industry representatives, and to the Turkish municipal/government officials to learn about and benefit from various transportation project opportunities in the country. The trade mission will also include a regional program for introductions to private sector and government officials from the partnership posts of Turkey, namely Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Georgia.
